Below is an explanation of the history behind the 9 x vinyls detailing the types of pressing and matrix codes. Each item has been preserved in plastic sheets to keep them preserved.

Black label with yellow logo and silver print. “The Gramophone Co. Ltd.” printed at the start perimeter print and “Sold in U.K. subject…”text. With or without KT tax code on the label. Matrix numbers:

REVOLVER BEATLES 1966 VINYL
Black label with two white-black EMI logos and silver print. “The Gramophone Co Ltd…” printed at the start perimeter print and “Made In GT. Britain” lower text. Laminated flipback “Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd” sleeve with or without small “stereo” on the front side. Sepia color “LP advertising” inner sleeve. Matrix numbers:

ABBY ROAD 1969 First Press
First pressing, September 26, 1969.
Dark green label with an image of an apple on side 1 and sliced apple on side 2. First label variation have “An E.M.I. Recording” text on two lines and small “33 1/3” text moved to the left side. Publishing year printed with small copyright symbol (p). The label does not have Her Majesty credit on the side 2. The labels are quite dark although the actual shade of green varies greatly among copies. Matrix number:

Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. or Ernest J.Day & Co. front laminated cover, with large “mono” on front. Black label with yellow logo and silver print. “The Parlophone Co. Ltd.” printed at the start perimeter print and “Recording first published 1963?. Tracing-paper-lined “Use Emitex” die-cut inner sleeve. With or without KT tax code on the label. Matrix numbers:
