For your consideration is the only American Single release by The Beatles at their Beatlemania peak to barley chart in the Hot 100 topping out at # 97 for one single week.

Releasing “She Loves You” (sung in German) was a desperation move by Swan Records trying to cash in on the coattails of the only number one hit the label ever had, “She Loves You” by The Beatles (sung in English). They only had the rights to that one song along with “I’ll Get You” (b-side) so they assumed releasing it in another language was within their rights. It wasn’t.

Since this release didn’t sell enough to warrant a second pressing, any authentic stock copies are quite rare. Authentic promo copies are nearly impossible to come across. The pictured record in this listing is an AUTHENTIC STOCK COPY. It has all the characteristics needed for verification as compared to the many bootleg or pirated copies found in the various market places.

This is a RCA Rockaway pressed record and can be observed on the top of page 23 in the Bruce Spizer book ‘The Beatles Swan Song’. It has the catalogue identification number; Swan 4182.01C.

Please expand and examine the provided photos to see the correct color (Red) used for printing the labels as well as the thick, high gloss white finish that can be seen when tilted under bright lighting. Also notice the writing in the dead wax and the measurement of the space between the last groove and the label.

There are more fake copies out there than real ones that were pressed. The counterfeiters out did themselves with this record. It can actually be very difficult to spot some of the fakes. Even experienced record dealers have been fooled on occasion. The record in this listing is without a doubt AUTHENTIC and that I will guarantee.

Condition wise this one is a gem. It’s not 100% stock fresh but it’s pretty darn close. The labels show only the slightest amount of wear being clean and bright. No writing or sticker residue can be found and a great amount of original gloss is remaining. The vinyl is clean and shiny with only one slight mark that might be found on any stock fresh record. I wasn’t lucky enough to get this record when it was first released and acquired it from one of the most reputable record dealers whom most would be familiar with in the world of Beatle collecting.

I will sum up stating that of the dozens of copies that I’ve examined claiming to be authentic, this is only the third one that actually was (guaranteed).
