THE BEATLES - '1962-1966'
This UNPLAYED double album is the original RED vinyl edition dating from September 1978.

Both discs are on custom designed Apple labels with the collective catalogue number: PCSP 717

Disc 1 (PCS 7171)

Matrix numbers: YEX 905-3 & YEX 906-4

Stamper codes: 2/RGA & 1/RDT

Vinyl weight: 113g

Disc 2 (PCS 7172)

Matrix numbers: YEX 907-3 & YEX 908-3

Stamper codes: 1/MOG & 5/GTT

Vinyl weight: 136g

Sides 2 & 4 have ace Beatles cutting engineer Harry Moss' initials 'HTM' etched into their run-outs.

The discs are housed within an outer laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed gatefold with the original factory sticker on the front panel.

Complete with both red, rounded corner printed inner-sleeve.

All labels are pristine with no spindle marks or wear to or around any centre hole.

Visual: Disc 1: EXCELLENT + Disc 2: MINT

Vivid & vibrant playing surfaces which are unfaded and deep red throughout. Apart from a small cluster of tiny scratches at the end of track 6 on side 1, all playing surfaces are flawless & unmarked and lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.

Sound Quality: Disc 1: NEAR MINT Disc 2: MINT

This incredible sounding set contains arguably the best stereo source for many of these tracks and this copy does not disappoint sound-wise. I doubt whether either of these discs have ever been near a turntable, let alone been played. In fact, apart from four light background clicks between tracks 6 & 7 on side 1, due to the aforementioned mark, the sound is flawless & wonderful throughout.

Cover: NEAR MINT

A 1st class example of this lavish cover which retains flawless front & rear panels with no scratching, storage rubbing or even a single 'thumbnail' to either front or rear panels.

There are small bruises to the upper left and lower right corners but absolutely none to any opening edge.

The inside of the gatefold is pristine and unblemished.

All seams are smooth and unstressed and the spine is square, unfaded & fully laminated.

Inner-sleeves: MINT

Totally unworn & uncreased, both are 'as new' and without any stresses or splits to any seam.
