READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Beatles 1975 LP Beatles’ Second Album Toughest “All Rights” Variation in Shrink, NM!

There are two variations of the “All Rights Reserved” disclaimer from the very end of 1975 that are not very easy to find.  There’s this one with the disclaimer at the bottom of the label, and the other is the scrolling up the right side of the Side 1 label.  Depending upon the title, they seem to trade places as to which one is the toughest.

**This variation is much rarer, because most collectors recognize it more commonly as the Los Angeles pressing, having the disclaimer at the top of the label, just below the Apple stem.  See compere photo.  That means that not all titles from this run were pressed with the disclaimer at the bottom of the label, like this one out of Jacksonville.

For “The Beatles’ Second Album,” I’ve seen the scrolling variation once in a while, maybe twice a year or two.  But for this variation, I’ve seen two copies. 

I’m keeping one, and you can own this one.

Vinyl--- NM/EX.  Side 1 looks unplayed.  Side 2 has just a couple of light scuffs in the first track, “Long Tall Sally.”  Beautiful copy, better than the one I’m keeping.

Plates--- W5/W7.  Letter “O” in the dead wax on both sides makes this copy pressed in Jacksonville.  The Jacksonville plant only pressed a few titles with this variation.

Cover--- EX.  VERY nice cover with just a little browning on the back cover down the mouth, where the shrink is opened.  Small ding on the top seam.  Original price code sticker still affixed to the front cover.  NO SEAM SPLITS.

Breathe Holes--- There are two breathe holes on the front cover.  Both near the bottom, the first one is piercing Ringo’s ear.  The second one is due east, right between Paul’s eyes. 

Somehow, George escaped the hole punch on this one!

Labels--- EX/EX.  Very light spindle marks on both sides.

Side 2 label has the disclaimer on five lines in the upper left shoulder of the sliced Apple.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- EX.  Generic white inner sleeve with die-cut hole for the labels to show is present.  A little browning, NO SPLIT SEAMS.

A rice paper sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

A beautiful copy for your Beatles collector to find under the tree this year!  You may well be introducing them to a new label variation for them to complete.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)
