READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning. I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.
So with that said…
Beatles 2-LP 1972 Alpha Omega BLUE Cover in SHRINK w/Mystery Song! Superhard Rare!
For a period of time, the first volume was available in two double albums. The first two LP’s were packaged with red graphics, and the second two LP’s were available with blue. This is the second volume. The sides are configured the same as the box, which are 5/56 and 7/8.
Side 5 lists 7 songs on the label, but there are clearly 8 bands on the album.
I’ll let the winner discover which song didn’t get listed on the label.
It’s more fun that way!
Vinyl--- NM/EX. EX/EX. Side 1 looks unplayed. The other three have maybe one very light scratch. And I mean light.
Plates--- ATRBH Side 5/ ATRBH Side 6. ATRBH Side 7/ ATRBH Side 8.
Cover--- EX. Still in shrink, which is the thicker, brittle type. There is some light ringwear, but the shrink took the brunt of it. Some yellowing on the back cover, not much at all.
As you can imagine, copies with the shrink removed get heavily soiled, being a white, glossy cover.
Not this one.
Labels--- NM/NM. NM/NM.
Inner Sleeves--- Generic white with die-cut holes for the labels to show through. One has a bottom center split 1 ½-inch long. The other is fine.
*These are hard enough to find in any condition. This will likely be the only one you’ll have a shot at, that has beautiful vinyl, as well as a beautiful cover.
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
Note: All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.
CAUTION! There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids. A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.
Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!
(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
