Up for auction is this authentic 1966 2nd state butcher cover of the lp record "Yesterday and Today" by the Beatles. The record number is Capitol T2553. This cover is still in it's original factory shrink. What is really rare about the front cover is that the new slick was factory pasted on misaligned so you can see the original butcher cover peeking through on the left side. Also on the top the slick almost completely covers the record number. The number by the RIAA symbol on the back is 6. This means this cover was made in Los Angeles on the west coast. The front cover is completely covered in factory shrink with 2 breath holes. There is a little corner tip wear to the right top & bottom corners. On the back there is one breath hole. The original owner pulled the shrink back a little on the back and wrote her name and the date when she purchased the lp record. This is kind of cool because it proves the record was bought in the first couple weeks of release. She must have thought the record was rare for it to be in this shape 47 years later. Also included is the mono vinyl record in vg+ condition. There are a few minor scuffs and scratches. Also included in the original west coast inner sleeve with the tab notch on the top. Also included in a copy of the Capitol's recall letter about the butcher cover. Thanks and good luck Frank.
