Beatles 45 1967 Capitol Baby, You’re a Rich Man WITH COMMA, EX and SCARCE!
First pressing orange/yellow swirl “All You Need is Love-Baby, You’re a Rich Man” with the comma inserted into the title on the B-side. VERY hard to find these. Other reissues included the comma, but the swirl labels so rarely did.
**Do NOT be fooled into thinking that you can just tap into eBay at “X” point in the future and find one of these. You can’t. Collectors know that for every couple hundred copies of this single that go up for sale, you might find one of these in garbage condition.
**Go ahead and search this title sometime in the next week, and see how many you find.
This one’s in gorgeous EX condition.
I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…
Vinyl: EX/EX. Both sides shine like brand new, store stock under normal room lighting. But under the bright bulb test, you will see just a palmful of very light lines per side. Gorgeous copy.
Plates: F1/G2. Machine-stamped triangle with the letters, “IAM” inside it makes this copy pressed by Scranton.
Labels: NM/NM. 1967 store stock, brand new-looking labels, both sides. Still has some excess paper from the cutting process inside the playhole.
Sleeve: VG+. Little to no yellowing at all. Moderate amount of wrinkles per side. NO SEAM SPLITS.
A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol company inner sleeve en route.
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
Note: All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.
Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!
(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
