Beatles 45 1970 Hello Goodbye Apple Label w/Black Star, VG+/EX!
I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…
These were pressed only out of the Los Angeles plant, and only for a short time in 1970, which was 55 years ago!
For some reason, the 1967 titles of the Apple with Black Star on the labels are among the hardest ones to find. Apart from “Slow Down,” I can’t think of other titles where I’ve not found at least a second copy, much less a keeper!
Time to let someone else take up the search. But for this week, for sale are two of the 1967 titles. Best of luck finding keepers on them! (I never did…)
Vinyl: VG+/EX. Side 1 has a few very light lines, and a couple short scuffs, which are non-feelable. Side 2 has only one or two very light lines. Overall, this copy shines with high gloss, both sides! If you’re like me and you can’t find a NM copy, this one could well be your keeper.
Plates: G12/G10. Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.
Labels: VG+/NM. Side 1 label has a bubble-up from sticker removal, but isn’t torn from it. Side 2 label is NM.
Sleeve: VG+. Some wavy wrinkles that aren’t creased. NO SPLIT SEAMS.
Not a NM copy, but still a very nice one!
Note: All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)

(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
