Beatles 45 Hey Jude 1969 Pressing Los Angeles Apple Absolute Hardest-to-Find VG!

This week, I’ll be listing a few copies of the “Hey Jude” single, which are all the hardest-to-find label variations in VG condition, plus a couple of misstruck labels, just for fun.  These will occupy the space between respectable fillers and play copies until you can find your keepers.

And remember.  VG doesn’t mean Voraciously Gross, it means Very Good.

I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…

*This label variation was only on the market for an incredibly short period of time, probably in the spring of 1969. 

*The font is thin, and the text layout is in the same style as the “Get Back” and “Something” first pressings from Los Angeles.  (See compere photos.)

*It disappeared immediately.

Vinyl: VG.  Both sides are covered in light scratches.  None can be felt with the fingertip.  Will play with surface noise.

Plates: F9/F9.  Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.

Labels: EX/VG+.  Side 2 label has some dirtwear, not much.

Sleeve: VG+ Company Apple sleeve.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
