READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles ’65 LP 1971 Apple Hybrid Labels “Mfd. By” Side 1, “Subsidiary of…” Side 2, LA EX!

Only a few collectors worldwide know that this configuration of labels was probably a full run with most titles having been verified to exist, along with a handful of solo titles.  Most collectors consider this coupling to be error pressings.  But in fact, all of the titles that I’ve verified have been strictly pressed out of the Jacksonville plant.

This is the very first title I’ve ever seen out of the Los Angeles plant, and it’s in gorgeous condition!

Vinyl--- EX/EX.  Each side has one very small, very light line.  I’m sure most people would grade this copy NM, and they wouldn’t be wrong to.

Plates--- F16/F16.  Rarer no “ST” prefix in the dead wax. Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.

Cover--- VG+.  Structurally solid cover.  Front cover presents EX, but the back cover has light yellowing and moderate foxing.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

Labels--- NM/NM.  Both labels are bright green and full-color bold.  They look like they were just printed up today.  NO SPINDLE MARKS.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- EX.  Generic white inner sleeve with die-cut hole for the labels to show is present.  Just a few light wrinkles.  NO YELLOWING, NO SEAM SPLITS.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: 12

I started collecting in 1975.  This is the first copy I’ve ever come across in 50 years out of LA!  Great.  Now I have to search for the other titles.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
