Description
In July of 1964 radio stations were sent an album of Radio Spot Announcements (SP-2362/2363) promoting the film a Hard Day's Night. The record has a red label with black print. Side 1 contains eight 60 second spots, four of which feature the Beatles. Side 2 has three 30 second spots, three 20 second spots and one 10 second spot. The record number and "HARD DAYS NIGHT" are hand etched in the trail off areas. The cover is a blank white with center hole die cut showing label, not the 13"x13" mailer that was originally sent out.The record itself is in fair condition with numerous light scratches and 1 deep v shaped and z shaped deep scratches about half inch long on side one. Side 2 fairs better with only one small deep scratch starting in trail off area.I have played this record on my turntable and it plays fine no skipping of needle just surface noise, normal for a record of this age. It's fun to listen to these commercials and feel the excitement of Beatlemania come alive on vinyl. Though this record is not in the best shape it is quite rare and a great addition to any record collection. Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
