'A HARD DAY'S NIGHT'
1964 UK 1st *MONO* PRESSING LP
On the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1230
Both labels carry the initial 'chubby' font with the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Parlophone Co. Ltd..'' rims
A rare 'MT' tax/price code is visible in the centre of the side 2 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with a mid-sized mono logo.
Complete with its original rice-paper lined 'Use Emitex' inner-sleeve.
Matrix nos: XEX 481-3N & XEX 482-3N
Stampers: 3/GDP & 5/AA

Visual: VERY GOOD
Both surfaces are extremely clean & glossy but strong daylight reveals one or two small 'feelable' scratches on side 1 & a few stylus hairlines on side 2. However, close inspection directly beneath a halogen desk lamp shows up no other visual marks or any other signs of wear.
Play: VERY GOOD +
This sound overall on this carefully played copy is clean & clear with no groovewear distortion or background noise anywhere. Apart from a few light clicks just before and on 'I Should Have Known Better', there is little to fault audibly.
Cover
VERY GOOD +
A clean & strong example which retains a bright and clean front which bears just two small 'thumbnail' creases & a few edge wrinkles, but no other significant signs of wear. There is slight bruising to the corners but both opening edges are sharp & undamaged with just a few small 'pushes'. The rear panel is clean and quite white with just a few faint handling marks but no writing or missing paper. All flipback are all intact and both seams and the spine are strong & undamaged.
