Labels: EXCELLENT +
A superb set with no discernable spindle marks to the centre of either label.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Clean, bright & deep-gloss playing surfaces where the only blemishes visible in strong daylight are a single stylus hairline & one light surface mark on side 1 plus another on the 1st track of side 2. Close inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals no further surface marks or wear whatsoever, just an 'as new' sparkling rainbow shine and not even any wispy paper hairline in sight. Both sides of this fine copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Play: EXCELLENT
This copy has clearly been extremely well-looked after and received only a minimal amount of careful play. My careful playcheck was a pleasure and found there to be no significant deterioration on any of these exquisite tracks. Being critical, I did pick up slight groovewear on the last few tracks on each side which is the only reason I did not grade higher. Both run-ins and all bands play silently and there is not a single clicks, pops, tick or any other audible distraction anywhere.
Cover
EXCELLENT
A really 1st-class example of this scarce cover variant which bears a much clearer and brighter front panel than its more common 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed counterpart. The front panel is perfectly clean & glossy with just one or two very faint storage scratches but not a single 'thumbnail' wrinkle or any other creasing anywhere. There is a touch of bruising to the right corners but all are free from any heavy bumps or wear. Both opening edges are clean & sharp without any heavy 'pushes', tears or feathering. The rear panel is clean with just a touch of age toning but certainly no marks, writing or missing paper of any shape or sort. All three of the distinctive wide flipbacks are fully intact and all seams and the fully worded spine are smooth, unstressed and completely unworn.
Inner-sleeve
EXCELLENT +
Clean & crisp with just the inevitable light disc impression, but no further blemishes or wear.
