Description

Complete & original 1st UK press of The Beatles 1969 album ‘Abbey Road’. Released on the 26th September 1969, the 1st pressing had a -2/-1 matrix, the final track 'Her Majesty' omitted from the label, and an incorrectly printed sleeve with the Apple logo on the rear famously out of alignment with the copy text.

Condition:Stunning condition! Vinyl is super-glossy, clean, no marks, no wear when viewed in both good natural light and under strong direct halogen spotlight. Beautiful! The disc sit completely flat on the turntable with no warping. NEAR MINT!  The audio sounds as good as the disc looks, it plays perfectly without background crackle/noise. Quiet tracks like 'Something' & 'Sun King' - the litmus tests for each side - both play perfectly, crystal clear and without interference. There are obviously no skips or sticks with this grade and no repeat clicks or loud obtrusive pops. The audio is top graded NEAR MINT! The sleeve is also in beautiful condition, super-glossy, super-sharp, no ring wear, no spine wear, no edge wear, clean front & back, sharp corners, full colour clean print, with Apple logo clearly out of alignment on the rear. NEAR MINT! Complete with original plain white paper 'MADE IN ENGLAND' inner sleeve without any splitting. A top condition misaligned Apple logo 1st UK press of a Beatles classic!
