THE BEATLES - 'ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE'/'BABY, YOU'RE A RICH MAN'

1967 UK *1st PRESSING* 45

This initial 1st UK pressing from 1967 is on the solid centred black & silver Parlophone label: R 5620

The 'A' side label OMITS the 'Recorded during 'Live' World Television Transmission' text.

Both labels bear the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.

A 'KT' purchase tax code appears in the centre of the 'Baby, You're A Rich Man' label.

Housed in its original green & white 'Miner's Make-up' Parlophone company sleeve.

Matrix numbers: 7XCE 18425-2 & 7XCE 18426-2

Stamper codes: 1/GA & 2/GG

A clean & undamaged pair with some light wear to the side 2 center hole and a some small spindle trails around each.

Visual: VERY GOOD

Apart from some visible whitening to the grooves, the only significant blemish in daylight on side 1 is a 5mm surface scuff which is just feelable beneath my fingertips. Side 2 has no such blemishes and close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals only a few addition light marks but nothing major.

Play: VERY GOOD +

Despite a frequent amount of play there is no major deterioration to the sound quality and the aforementioned mark on side 1 is inaudible. The bass response on 'Baby, You're a Rich Man' is extremely impressive.

Sleeve

EXCELLENT

Clean & flat with minimal storage wrinkling and no seam splits, writing or tears.
