Beatles All You Need Is Love UK RARE VARIANT PARLOPHONE
The Beatles, All You Need Is Love b/w Baby, You're A Rich Man.
Version with reference to TV transmission.1967 UK Parlophone Records 7" housed in company sleeve, R 5620.
A rarer variant of this one. One of the earlier presses, indicated by both sides having a "1" matrix suffix and solid centre. (Incidentally it doesn't appear that those releases without reference to the TV transmission were necessarily only the very first released, as there are some in existence with later "2" matrix suffixes.)
This one has the Gramophone Co Ltd perimeter lettering in upper case, "Sold in UK" centre text, and raised KT tax mark to B side label.
However, there are a couple of major differences to other releases. Firstly, the "Northern Songs NCB" layout is changed. Secondly, the "Lennon-McCartney" credits underneath the song title are printed on the same line as the beginning of the reference to the TV transmission. On most releases I've seen, these two are spaced underneath each other.
Vinyl in generally very clean condition. Evidence of spider trail marks around the spindle areas, but not excessively so, and there is no whitening or wear. Vinyl still has a good gloss. Surfaces display just a few light and superficial hairline scuffs, two or three of which are slightly more visible, but there are no deep marks or scratches. Generally appears a fairly carefully played and handled single.
Playback is mostly clean and bright, and free of crackle, ticks or clicks. The recording is still bright and dynamic, and not dulled or distorted. There are just two very low level soft ticks at the beginning of the A side, not of a great enough volume to be any great distraction.
Labels are clean and unmarked both sides.
Sleeve is "Fran the Fan" variant. This is in generally very good condition. A touch of overall creasing, and small tan stain spot to top edge, but no seam splits, tears of inscriptions.
