Description

Anthology 2 was the was the second of three volumes of unreleased, alternate versions of songs previously released over the years when The Beatles were together. This is an open, but mint cond. U.S. copy - the record looks unplayed and has no damage whatsoever. This volume (2) also includes "Real Love", that, along with "Free As A Bird" from volume 1, were two "new", completely unreleased Beatles songs, that,  because of the way they were recorded, were a couple of musical Frankensteins. They were released as singles though, and these recordings, as well as all the many unreleased alternate versions of other songs, started quite a bit of Beatlemania back in the 1990's, even though.the recording of the two "new" songs had been started by John Lennon many years before, in the late 1970's, at home, and never finished. Years later, when Yoko brought Paul an old cassette of John singing and playing these songs on piano, the other surviving Beatles were invited to add their parts in the studio and they did.  They're Beatles songs, pretty much just technically. I mean,  They have their flaws, in the recording quality and artistically, and all the great alternates of other stuff are the real reason for buying Anthology.
