THE BEATLES: ‘BEATLES FOR SALE’ – AN ORIGINAL UK BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE MONO VINYL EP – GEP 8931, WITH MISPRESSED MATT MONRO SIDE 2 RECORD LABEL.
This is an ORIGINAL UK MONO Vinyl EP for Beatles For Sale, this rare variant has a solid centre, with the PARLOPHONE CO LTD Label Rim, the circled P date 1964 and Made in Gt Britain label text, and the Sold in UK label print.
Side one record label is in Excellent Plus condition, a clean unfaded label, showing only a few light centre spindle lines.
Side two record label is also in Excellent Plus
condition, this record label has been mispressed onto this Beatles EP, and is from a Matt Monro EP.
Official side 1 matrix is 7TCE 860-1N/Side 7TCE 861-1N.
Side 1 stampers are: KT4 H, & Side 2: KT2 GP. The embossed **KT** tax code is visible to the centre of the Matt Monro side 2 record label.
Both sides of the vinyl EP disc are in BRIGHT Excellent Plus condition, with nothing more than one or two light superficial surface hairlines, but no deep scratches or scuffs.
The EP play’s the correct Beatles songs on both sides.
The EP comes in its ORIGINAL front laminated G&L ‘MONO’ sleeve with rounded corner flipbacks to the reverse.
The original sleeve is in Excellent Minus condition, showing light creasing to the front and back, and initials in ink on the reverse.
The EP plays EXTREMELY WELL with NO skips or clicks just mild background crackle.
Overall a very nice example of this early Beatles original EP, with rare solid centre, and rare mispressed side 2 record label.!
