Description
THE BEATLES - 'THE BIG BEAT OF THE BEATLES'
From my personal collection:
This is a 1st pressing of the unique South African Beatles compilation (see labels) dating from June 1964, released on the blue & silver Parlophone label: PMCJ 64
Matrix numbers: XPEAX 167 & XPEAX 168
Heavy vinyl (weight: 151g)
Housed within a uniquely designed front laminated, bi-flipback cover, printed in South Africa
CONDITION (RECORD COLLECTOR STANDARD)
Disc: VERY GOOD
Both playing surfaces have light marks & hairlines. Plays very well, open and clear, also thanks to a great pressing! Record is in great condition; between tracks you can hear some crackling noises. Labels are clean. The record has been cleaned with a VPI Record Cleaning Machine.
Cover: VERY GOOD/EXCELLENT
Fully intact & clean with the usual general aging & storagewear. There is a small name and date of purchase (21-9-1964) written on the rear panel left-hand upper corner which, I believe, can be removed. All seams are fully intact, including the spine with name and number of the record.
An excellent copy of this rare record in every way.
- The item is located in and will be shipped from The Netherlands
- The record will be shipped in a record mailing box
- Postage will be 12 GBP within the EU and 18 GBP outside Europe, dependent on location; please wait for invoice, I will not charge more than the official tariffs
The cover of this album looks much better, and also cleaner, than the initial pictures show. I have uploaded two additional pictures that do more justice to this.
