Description
ORIGINAL partially peeled ‘Butcher Cover’ version of Yester & Today.
This is the Los Angeles pressing ST-1-2553-A-17 * on the A side. Label is as shown. Jacket is 5 which is the correct one for this record. It also includes the orange Capitol ’66 inner sleeve with NO splits. This is the less frequently seen STEREO pressing of this album.
THE JACKET. Yes, some curious teenager did a little excavation over Ringo’s turtleneck and exposed his whole face. There is another spot in the center of the jacket where they also tried and went right thru the original cover down to the cardboard inner. Fortunately, that lines up with Paul’s hair, and would be easily disguised if you uncover it and touch it up with something to fill it in with the right color of black. The last photo posted will show you where it lines up when/if you remove the pasted over cover.
Seam splits have been repaired from the inside
Spine is complete but worn.
Minor wear ring, and stains evident on front and back.
Decent playing album despite several light scuffs with occasionally audible marks. It went to parties, it got played, it had fun and stayed out late, and is still ready to entertain.
Yes it’s the real thing, and priced to move for somebody who wants to do the work to make it shine.
