GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC 1966 LA #6 BEATLES 3rd STATE MONO BUTCHER COVER!

       Offered here is without question one of the most sought after record gems on the planet.  This beautiful LA Butcher Cover has peeled out extremely sweet! You cannot truly appreciate the beauty of this classic piece of rock history until you hold it in your hand.

      THE PEEL ON THIS BUTCHER COVER IS OUTSTANDING!  When properly peeled, these dot matrix lithos have a unique hue to them that makes a butcher cover look even more magical in person. The detail on this one is nothing short of amazing.  The colors on this butcher are pure, sweet, and bold.  LA's have the brighter blue hue to their color that makes them distinct and just beautiful to behold. The blues, grays, and pastels blend together to create that pop, and just glow with beauty. This one has it all, and is the best one I have available at the moment.

     As with virtually all of our butchers, the pictures attached to this auction allow you to see the incredible fine dot matrix texture of the original butcher slick that has been exposed.  This only happens with a properly peeled butcher. There is no dull glue haze, yellow cast, or missing pieces of the butcher image slick.  So many of the butchers you see on Ebay are "butchered" and do not have the near first-state look this one offers. Check out the detail of the baby dolls in the pictures.  This peel is so well done you can tell the Beatles have blood shot eyes! Look at the gums around the false teeth, and how detailed everything is. Yes, the detail is stunning and so exceptional on this copy in particular. 

     The printing on the back is all there, bold and black, and contrasts very nicely with the surrounding white of the cover. The whites show just the slightest patina of age,and that is mostly just around the outer edges of the cover. This cover is really nice for a 50+ year old
Beatles album. There has been some minor balding of the lower right front corner inward from the mouth for about 2 inches.  This is very common on any older album jacket from sliding the jacket in and out of storage. All of the seams are rock solid without any splits from a record. There is some minor cracking of the paper in the middle of the spine, and aging of the white edges around cover. The printing on the spine is all there and shows a little wear from handling. This is a beautiful older lady who has aged extremely well, and still has it! 

      I would be remiss not to give all the credit for this fantastic peel to our exclusive butcher artist of nearly 20 years - Jim Hansen of Blue Jay Way Galleries.  Jim has been one of my best friends in the industry, as well as trusted business partner, and is considered by many to be the Zen Master of butcher peeling.  He, along with others such as Perry Cox, Bruce Spizer, and so many of the Beatles experts and dealers (great and small) all over our great country -  I owe it all to you guys because you have taught me so much over the decades.  Thank you so much and may God bless all of you richly as you have aided me over the many years in an increase of knowledge and insight into the world of everything Beatles

    This copy would frame beautifully as the butcher image just pops and captures the eye. It is beautiful indeed.  

    This offering also includes a peeled Yesterday and Today slick that can be framed with your butcher. I want to make it clear that this is not the original slick that came off of the front of his butcher. That slick was destroyed and this is a replacement.  It is super clean and nice white, and would make a great package to frame and show off in your office, den, or music gallery!

THE LP IS A FULL GLOSS VG+ or SLIGHTLY BETTER ON THE VINYL.  RAINBOW LABELS ARE A VG++ WITH JUST THE LIGHTEST SPINDLE MARKS. LP IS NOT NM, NOR IS IT BEING ADVERTIZED AS SUCH. IT IS THE LP THAT CAME WITH THE COVER. THIS LP HAS BEEN CLEANED ON A VPI RECORD CLEANER, BUT I WILL NOT GUARANTEE IT WILL PLAY PERFECTLY.  THE LP IS JUST A TINY FRACTION OF THE VALUE OF THIS PACKAGE AS THE COVER IS THE PRIZE HERE.  ALSO INCLUDED IS AN ORIGINAL AND CORRECT ORANGE LA CAPITOL INNER SLEEVE MAKING THIS A COMPLETE 1966 CAPITOL RECORDS YESTERDAY AND TODAY BUTCHER PACKAGE.
