Description

Extraordinary Beatles Butcher Cover of the album "Yesterday And Today" mounted and framed in spectacular custom modern deco silver frame (the frame alone cost hundreds of dollars). Capitol Records ST2553 "New Improved Full Dimensional Stereo" version.  Purchased by me in Sotheby's London sale #LN4541 of 14 September 1994 lot #859 for a total of £878.31 pounds sterling. Magnificent 21 1/2 width x 21" height wide with plexi-glass cover.  Album (under plexi) has various horizontal creases and a few vertical veins at the cover's top plus some very minor scuffs and dings that should be visible in the photos. .  There is no noticeable fading nor any visible glue residue. Frame corners have faux "three dimensional" effect with inward pointing deco arrow shapes.  IMPORTANT NOTES -- PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:  I have not seen this "butcher cover" out of the frame and cannot describe its condition other than what I can see and the photos attached -- i.e., I have not seen the back (nor do I even know if a back cover is attached) nor the edges etc.  The cover is textured (dots) -- if you are familiar with this cover you'll know what I mean.  PLEASE SEND ME ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS.  This is a totally magnificent piece of music history and as all of you know one of the most collectible of all Beatles memorabilia ever. In order to arrive safely this lot requires professional packaging and wooden crating. Will ship internationally but PLEASE BE AWARE that international shipping is VERY EXPENSIVE and could run more than the price of the lot itself, depending on the location and method of delivery.  Cannot be de-framed and must be shipped intact. Will work directly with buyer on shipping.  Available for direct pickup/delivery in metro NYC area.
