Beatles EP "INCREDIBLE!" 1964 Rare Recordings - NM - 12" BLUE VINYL!
returns accepted paper cover is loose Unplayed old store stock 1.) "HOW DO YOU DO IT" - Recorded by THE BEATLES on November 26, 1962. It was to have been "LOVE ME DO", but that plan was scrapped, to be replaced by another LENNON/McCARTNEY tune known as "P.S. I LOVE YOU".Info below Copied from prior listing NOTE: "HOW DO YOU DO IT?" was written by Mitch Murray. Adam Faith had been offered the song but turned it down. The Beatles then recorded a version of the song, which was not released until it appeared on the group's retrospective Anthology 1 album in 1995. Gerry & the Pacemakers' version was coincidentally produced by George Martin and became a number one hit in the UK, until being replaced at the top by "From Me to You", The Beatles' third single. The song was also title song to an EP 7" record featuring the songs: "How Do You Do It?"; "Away From You"; "I Like It" and "It's Happened to Me". (Columbia SEG8257, released July 1963). The record entered the US chart 5 July 1964, eventually reaching number 9.
2.) "BAD TO ME" - THE BEATLES DEMO. This particular DEMO was recorded by The Beatles in early 1964, but was never released commercially by them. This, like many other LENNON/McCARTNEY tunes, was given to another EMI group; BILLY J. KRAMER & THE DAKOTAS (an interesting song title and group name since that happened to be the Hotel where JOHN LENNON lived in New York City when he was killed in 1980 - THE DAKOTA HOTEL).
NOTE: "BAD TO ME" is a song John Lennon wrote (credited to Lennon–McCartney) for Billy J. Kramer & The Dakotas while on holiday in Spain. Billy J. Kramer & The Dakotas released their recording of the song in 1963 and it became their first number 1 UK hit. Paul McCartney was present during the recording session at Abbey Road Studios. The single would be released in the USA the following year, and become a top-ten hit there, reaching number 9. It became the first Lennon–McCartney composition to reach the US Top 40 for an artist other than The Beatles. Bootlegs exist of Lennon's original demo of the song, which was recorded on May 31, 1963. An acoustic demo from the same era was released on iTunes in December of 2013 on the album The Beatles Bootleg Recordings 1963. Graham Parker recorded a version of the song for the 2003 album Lost Songs of Lennon & McCartney, new versions of 17 Lennon–McCartney songs that were originally released by other artists. Leif Garrett also recorded a version of the song for his self-titled debut album. Recordings of "Bad to Me" as The Beatles may have performed it, are available on the 1989 album by Bas Muys entitled Secret Songs: Lennon & McCartney and on the 1998 release It's Four You by the Australian tribute band The Beatnix.
