Description

An original 1st issue of BFS from a couple of months after 1st release - Winter 64/65. Matrix 3N/4N. 'Recording 1st Pub' and Parlophone exhibiting - as you would expect on the early copies.. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Mono gatefold cover with pinched spine. We also have the original Emitex inner sleeve to. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+) In nice condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection I can only make out quite a few light marks per side = but thankfully nothing that seems to trouble these deep mono grooves too much. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly VERYGOOD+ level of playback with one deviation per side. Quiet intros and inbetweens and the audio comes across with really good clarity. Perfectly good little player - and some tracks play really well. But not clean enough to the reach the upper gradings most collectors like. So, a prospective buyer needs to be someone who isn't expecting pristine surfaces or perfectly clear audio. I.e. someone who can compromise at what is a low price for this original copy.
Cover (Vg+) The front looks good with some light creasing. The rear is pretty good with a touch of light fade along the top edge. Interior exhibits some ageing. Some edge wear with firm openings. The spine is 70% intact - very nice. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) A bit aged. Bag present. No splits.
