THE BEATLES - 'BEATLES FOR SALE No.2'
This scarce UK 1st press 4-track EP dates from initial June 1965 release on the yellow & black Parlophone label: GEP 8938
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text with 'The Gramophone Co...' rim texts.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the side 1 label & in both run-outs.
Matrix numbers: 7TCE 874-1 & 7TCE 875-1
Stamper codes: 1/GG & 1/M
The disc is housed within its original front laminated, bi-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' (uncredited) printed picture cover.

Labels: EXCELLENT
A clean & bright set with just a handful of faint, well-aimed spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Both playing surfaces are bright and clean and bear no noticeable marks or scratches in strong daylight. Closer inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals some harmless wispy paper-type hairlines, but nothing which affects sound or play.
Sound Quality: VERY GOOD
A respectable sounding copy on which some light background audible on the delicate 'I'll Follow the Sun' & 'Words Of Love', but no major deterioration to the sound quality or audible distractions.
Cover: VERY GOOD +
A respectable example of this attractive cover which retains a sparkling high-gloss front panel laminate where the only significant sign of wear are to creases towards the front opening edge. There is a touch of shelf wear rubbing to the lower corners but no damage to the opening edges. The rear panel bears a hint of storage but is otherwise unblemished and free from any writing or missing paper.
