THE BEATLES - 'BEATLES FOR SALE'
This UK 1st MONO pressing dates from December 1964 release on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1240
Both labels have the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is in the centre of the side 1 label.
Matrices: XEX 503-4N & XEX 504-3N
Stamper codes: 2/TL & 2,8/GAO
Vinyl weight: 146g
Housed in an outer laminated gatefold mono cover with an outline mono front indicator.
Complete with original rice-paper lined 'Use EMItex...' inner-sleeve.
CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT
A clean, bright set with some minor wear & spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Clean & glossy playing surfaces which show a couple of harmless turntable scuffs and wispy paper hairlines beneath halogen light but nothing we would call a scratch.
Audio: EXCELLENTCarefully played on good equipment only, the sound quality is clean, full and unworn throughout with the only distraction being a little normal vinyl background between tracks. There are no clicks, pops or any other distractions on this enjoyable sounding disc.
Cover: VERY GOOD +
Fully intact with light moderate handling & storagewear, but no major faults. The outer panels have some storage rubbing and light wrinkles with no tears. Both inner panels are unblemished and unyellowed and the central hing is in good shape. All seams are smooth & unstressed and the spine is square & fully worded.
Inner-sleeve: VERY GOOD +
Crisp & clean with light storage wrinkling only.
