1964 UK 1st *STEREO* PRESSING LP
On the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3062
With 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Parlophone Co..' rims on both labels
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible in the centre of the side 1 label.
Housed in a front laminated, inner-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed gatefold stereo cover.
Complete with an original 'Use Emitex' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix nos: YEX 142-1 & YEX 143-1

Condition
Labels: EXCELLENT
Some light spindle trails but no further wear or any damage.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Both surfaces are clean & glossy, displaying just a few light handling marks in strong daylight, but nothing I would call a scratch. Close inspection directly beneath my halogen desk lamp reveals some wispy paper hairlines but no other significant marks or wear. Both sides lies 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping.
Play: EXCELLENT
This copy has received frequent but careful play on good quality equipment only and sounds clean & clear throughout with no groovewear distortion or playwear on any track. In fact, apart from some normal, light background on the bands between tracks, my careful playcheck at volume found there to be no significant or major deterioration to the sound on what is arguably the best sounding of their early stereo albums.
Cover
VERY GOOD +
A respectable example of this fragile cover with just light handling & storage wear but no major faults. Both panels are clean & bright with no heavy creasing or missing laminate. Inside is clean, black & white with no marks, writing or missing paper. Its only significant fault is a 5mm tear to the lower end of the middle hinge, but all seams and the clean & white spine are undamaged.
Inner-sleeve
VERY GOOD
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on a $5,000 Rega P9 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
