THE BEATLES - 'BEATLES FOR SALE'
This scarce UK 1964 1st STEREO pressing variant is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3062
Both labels bear the 'Sold in UK...' text with 'The Gramophone Co...' worded rims and a 'KT' purchase tax code on the side 2 label.
Matrix numbers: YEX 142-1 & YEX 143-1
Stamper codes: 4/GL & 5/AA
Vinyl weight: 144g
Housed in an outer laminated, inner-flipback gatefold cover.
What makes this cover unusual is that it lacks the stereo information box in the upper right corner of the left inside panel.

Complete with a plain white 'Patents Applied For' inner-sleeve

Clean & bright with a small collection of well-aimed spindle holes around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Glossy unworn playing surfaces with little more than some harmless wispy paper-type hairlines visible beneath halogen light.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
Carefully played on quality equipment only, all tracks play cleanly and clearly with no signs of any groove/playwear. Apart from a touch of low-level vinyl background between tracks, my play-check did not detect any audible distractions or faults.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A respectable example of this rare cover, which would be difficult to find in any condition. The outer laminate is totally unscratched and retains all of its original high-gloss finish with just three 'thumbnail' wrinkles on the front leaf & a faint ring from storage on the rear. There is some light rubbing to the upper edge of the delicate front leaf but no tears to any edge.
The inside of the gatefold is clean and black where it should be and is free from any writing or missing paper.
