CONDITION
Disc
Labels: EXCELLENT
Clean & bright just with a small collection of clumsy spindle marks & slight wear to each centre hole but no major faults.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Both playing surfaces are clean and free from any significant surface marks or scratches. Examination in strong daylight shows some minor blemishes consistent with inner-sleeve storage & removal but nothing to suggest careless handling or abuse. Close inspection directly beneath strong my halogen desk lamp reveals no additional signs of wear.
Play: EXCELLENT
Without doubt, this is their finest sounding stereo disc, with the 'breath of life' missing from the mono or any later cuttings. This copy has been carefully played on good equipment and my careful play check at volume found no evidence of any groove/play wear on any track or in either channel. All track played cleanly & clearly with a warm and full sound missing from any other issue of this LP. In fact, apart from a little normal/light background & a few faint background ticks on 'I Don't Want To Spoil the Party', there is very little to fault soundwise overall and certainly much more to enjoy.
Cover
EXCELLENT
Such a difficult cover to find this condition but this is thankfully this example has survived extremely well. The delicate front leaf is clean, glossy & flat with just a little shelf wear to the lower edge but no creases or 'thumbnails' to any part. The rear panel bears the inevitable light disc impression but displays no other traces of wear. Inside is clean & black with no blemishes, writing or missing paper to either panel. Both the upper and lower parts of the fragile centre hinge are fully intact with no tears or splits & all seams are smooth & unstressed. The spine is white & square and fully laminated & worded with both its factory 'pinched' ends intact & undamaged.
Inner-sleeve
EXCELLENT
Clean & crisp with just a little wrinkling from storage and a small number witten in one corner, but no tears or seam splits.
