1968 UK *STEREO* PRESSING LP

This respectable copy of their 1964 LP dates from 1968 and is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3062

Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & have 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd..' worded rims.

There is no purchase tax code is visible around the centre of either label.

Matrix numbers: YEX 142-1 & YEX 143-1

Stamper codes: 1,6/PR & 1,6/OP

Vinyl weight: 147g

Housed in an outer laminated, inner-flipback gatefold cover with an 'outlined' front stereo indicator.

Complete with its 'Use Emitex..' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT

Both are clean & bright with just a small number of light spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.

Visual: EXCELLENT

Both playing surfaces are clean, glossy and free from any surface marks or scratches when viewed in strong daylight.Close inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals a small number of harmless wispy inner-sleeve removal paper hairlines but no further blemishes of wear.

Play: EXCELLENT

Without doubt their best sounding early stereo album with that elusive 'breath of life' present on all tracks. This copy has receive just a small number of careful plays on good equipment and is free from any groove/play-wear throughout. In fact, apart from a touch of light background between tracks and three 'ticks' in the band between tracks 3 & 4 on side 2, there is little else to fault here.

Cover

VERY GOOD

A clean & fully intact example which displays some light handling & storagewear creasing to the front panel but no major damage. There is also some bruising and light wear to the corners but no splits or tears to the delicate spine hinge area. The inside has some light mark from storage but no writing or missing paper anywhere and all seams and the spine are unstressed & unsplit.
