*** BID WITH CONFIDENCE: I’ve been a serious Beatles collector since the 1970s, so I know from experience the importance of accurate grading, accurate descriptions and photos, carefulpackaging and fast shipping. (See details at the end of this listing.)
Please note that unless stated otherwise, I use visual grading only - and Near Mint (NM) is the highest grade I use, except for sealed items.

A vintage copy of George’s 1968 Apple debut solo release Wonderwall Music, with the cover marked as a promo copy. As you probably know, this was how Capitol marked their promo copies back in the mid to late 60s - by drilling a series of tiny holes to spell “PROMO”, “PROM” or (as on this one) “FREE”, usually in the upper right corner.
Please check out all the pictures - you’ll see some noticeable wear along the front along the white edges on the front (most obvious along the white area on the bottom) and some noticeable white “dots” of wear along the red brick wall on the front cover. There’s a 3” seam split in the center of the bottom, and a 1” split on the bottom right corner.
Since the “FREE” drilling was done after the record was placed inside the cover, it’s also on the inner paper sleeve. Note in the pic that on this copy, the inner sleeve was placed into the cover upside down (open end of the sleeve at the bottom). But the original owner obviously stored it as intended, because there is a seam split on the bottom of the inner sleeve.
The LP itself is the standard stock Apple label with “Mfd. by Apple” on the Side 2 label. It doesn’t appear to have been played a lot (no surprise there), although there are some light handling scratches and scuffs - one in particular that you can see in the final photo.
Condition-wise, it’s exactly as when I bought it - certainly not perfect, but it’s been a nice addition to my collection for many years. Visually, I’m going to conservatively grade all three elements (cover, vinyl and inner sleeve) as a strong, solid VG. I’m pretty sure some out there would call it VG+, but I don’t like to over-promise.
