Description
This is my personal copy of Hard Days Night being sold along with my other albums only because I have now retired from work and have moved - and need to downsize.
The labels are in excellent condition with spindle trails providing evidence of its use - which is not excessive - slightly worn around the spindle holes. The disc surface is excellent with only a few minor hairline scratches and some finger marks.
The record serial is PMC 1230 with side 1 identified on the label by matrix reference XEX 481 and side 2 by XEX 482. The lacquer number stamped on the playing surface run out is XEX 481-3N on side 1 and XEX 482-3N on side 2. It is identified as a second pressing from 1965 because the label wording reads The Gramaphone Company --- rather than Parlophone as on first pressings. additional identification marks stamped are as follows: side 1 mother number is 8, and stamper code is ATL. side 2 has mother number 8 and stamper code AHO.
The disc inner sleeve is plain white and is in excellent condition with no tears, creasing or wearing.
The album sleeve is of external seam construction and its condition is excellent with a couple of lamination creases. It has the medium sized version of 'mono'. The edges of the sleeve are only slightly worn and the corners have minimal dog-ears. The spine is splendid. The sleeve manufacturer is Garrod and Lofthouse. The only downside is that it has the sticky label of the record shop from which it was bought.
In general a very fine example
