1969 UK **2nd MONO** PRESSING LP

**NO 'SOLD IN UK..' TEXT**

This was the final version of the iconic yellow and black Parlophone label to be produced before being repleaced by the 'One EMI Box' label in late 1969.
This version is indentified by the omission of the 'Sold in UK.' label text which was removed from all EMI product in June 1969.

This rare 1969 3rd MONO pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1230
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Gramophone Co Ltd...' rims.
There is no tax/price code is visible on either label.

Housed in a front laminated, 'tri-flipback' Garrod & Lofthouse cover with the 'small' stereo logo.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.

Matrix numbers: XEX 481-3N & XEX 482-3N
Stamper numbers: 2,9/MDT & 3/ALR

Visual: EXCELLENT PLUS

Very bright, clean and glossy surfaces bearing just a few light sleeve removal hairlines under a halogen desk lamp.
There are no scuffs or heavy scratches anywhere and the disc lies100% flat on the turntable without dishing or warping.

Audio: EXCELLENT PLUS

Rarely but carefully played the sound is crisp, clear with no trace of crackle or groovewear distortion on any track.
Both run-ins and all bands play extremely quietly with no clicks or pops and there are no jumps or repeats anywhere.

Cover: EXCELLENT MINUS

A 'thin' card G&L cover with a bright unscratched high-gloss laminate bearing just a few light spine wrinkles and a few small 'thumbnails' but no major wear.
The lower corners and opening edges bear light wear only but there are no heavy 'bumps', tears or 'feathering'
The rear panel is clean and white with only minor discolouration but no writing or missing paper.
All flipbacks all are intact and the spine and seams are strong, unsplit and unstressed.
