THE BEATLES - 'HELLO GOODBYE'/'I AM THE WALRUS'
1967 UK *DEMONSTRATION* 45
This extremely rare disc is a 100% genuine UK DEMONSTRATION 45 which pre-dates its official November 1967 release date. These specially pressed discs were distributed in a very limited quantity to DJs and press persons only. Very few genuine examples survive today.
This disc bears GENUINE green demo labels with a large white 'A' on the 'Hello, Goodbye' label: R 5655
Both labels also carry the wording 'DEMONSTRATION RECORD - NOT FOR SALE' and 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rim texts.
The disc's official release date '24.11.67' is also printed in the centre of each label.
A 'KT' purchase tax code is stamped around the centre of the 'Hello, Goodbye' label & in both run-outs.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 18433-1 & 7XCE 18434-1
Stamper codes: 1/G & 1/G
These earliest possible stampers confirm this copies as being one of the first ever pressed.
The disc is housed within an original green 'swirl' Parlophone' company sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT +
As you can see, both are extremely clean & vibrant displaying no blemished or any loss of colour. In fact, apart from a little wear around each centre hole, there is little else to fault.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Both playing surfaces are clean and display no significant marks or wear. There is a little dulling of the gloss together and a few light surface marks on the 'B' side but nothing I would call a scratch. Some wispy hairline-type marks are also present on the 'B' side consistent with turntable play. Both sides of this rare disc lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Play: VERY GOOD +
This copy has received frequent but careful play and aside from some light background, audible mostly notably on the run-ins & the introduction to 'I Am The Walrus', there is little to fault of any significance on either side.
Cover
EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with some light storage wrinkles but no writing, seam splits or tears.
