THE BEATLES - 'HELP!'

One of the world's rarest Beatles LP, this special German 'Special Edition' was pressed for EXPORT to Switzerland in 1965.

It is on the orange & black Odeon label: SMO 984008

This is a guaranteed 100% genuine, original 1st pressing and NOT a reproduction or counterfeit copy.

Machine stamped matrix numbers: SHZE 162 A-1 & SHZE 162 B-1

Disc weight: 144g

Housed in front laminated German printed cover complete with its original Odeon advertising inner.sleeve.

CONDITION

This is unfortunately not in the condition I usually like to offer and can only really be considered a 'collection filler' until/if a better one comes along.

These are the best things about this LP. Both are clean, unfaded and unblemished with no writing or even any spindle marks around either centre.

Visual: GOOD

Both playing surfaces are clean but side 1 has lost much of its original gloss through long-term storage, but side 2 retains its shine. There are numerous small scratches (mostly visible on side 2), a few of which can be felt beneath the fingertips. Both sides lie flat on the turntable with no dishing or warping.

Play: FAIR/GOOD

Although this copy is not really for playing, I have listened to it once in its entirety. There is some light background hiss throughout side 1 but side 2 plays slightly better. There are no jumps, repeats of any other major audble faults on either side.

Cover: POOR

As you can see, this is very tired and age-worn but it's all there.

Inner-sleeve: GOOD

Clean & flat but with one side & lower seam splits and a tear to the front window.
