THE BEATLES - 'HELP!'
This EXCELLENT UK 1st MONO pressing dates from initial August 1965 release and is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1255
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK....' text and 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the side 1 label.
Matrix numbers: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2
Stamper codes: 6/LM & 2/TD
Vinyl weight: 163g
Housed within a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with an outline 'mono' front indicator. Complete with rice-paper lined 'Use Emitex..' inner-sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT
A clean & vibrant set bearing a small number of light, well-aimed spindle trails around each undamaged cente hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Extremely clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces where the only visible marks visible in strong daylight are a faint turntable mark on side 1 and a single, extremely faint scuff on side 2. Apart from those minor blemishes both are unmarked. Closer examination directly beneath my unforgiving desk lamp fails to reveal anything more than a few barely visible wispy inner-sleeve removal hairlines. Both sides of this heavy, well looked-after copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT
This fine sounding copy has received a moderate amount of careful play but is without any significant deterioration to the sound quality or any major faults. My single careful play-check detected a touch of light background between tracks & on 'Yesterday' but no clicks, pops or any other such distractions.
Cover: EXCELLENT
This respectable example of this easily blemished cover retains a fresh, unscratched and front laminate where the only sign of wear are a few small age-spots towards the lower right corner. However, there are no 'thumbnails or even a single spine bend. There is some minor corner bruising but no damage to either opening edge.
The easily blemished rear panel is perfectly clean & white with no marks or wear or any kind, anywhere and all flipbacks are perfectly clean & fully intact.
Both seams & the spine are smooth, unstressed and undamaged.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & crisp with some age-toning, but no writing, seam splits or tears.
