A Description of this album package is as follows:
With the Record labels and Vinyl Disc in STUNNING **mint** condition, and not overstated in any way, this is the RARE 1971 UK ORIGINAL **1st Dark Green APPLE Issue EXPORT LP** for The Beatles SCARCE 'Hey Jude' LP. This album is the first to have been issued on the **DARK Green Apple Label**. (Please note that all subsequent issues of this album were issued on a much LIGHTER green Apple label).
The record comes in its original Plain White 'Made in Gt Britain' Inner bag and is housed in a Fully laminated Picture Sleeve, and displays the official APPLE logo on the reverse of the sleeve, together with the catalogue number of CPCS 106. The spine of the sleeve reads 'The Beatles', 'Hey Jude', 'CPCS 106'.
The Matrixes and stamper information:
The Side 1 Matrix is YEEX 150-1, and side 2 Matrix YEEX 151-1. The side 1 stampers are: '2', 'RG', and the side 2 stampers are: 'RAD'.
The Grading of the Record Labels, Vinyl Disc and Sleeve:
Both sides of the record labels and both sides of the Vinyl Disc are in SENSATIONAL **mint** condition – totally unworn record labels and GLEAMING Vinyl – Without hesitation, the Vinyl looks and plays NEW! Both sides of the Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is graded in **close to mint** condition - A SUPERB sleeve, displaying high gloss laminate to both the front and reverse, and a CRISP, FIRM and fully readable spine. The edges and corners of the sleeve are also in great shape – there is NO corner bruising or splitting. The reverse of the sleeve shows a little laminate pinching (this would have occurred in the manufacturing process) and faint record storage wear to the reverse of the sleeve, but this is really minimal and does not detract from the overall TOP QUALITY condition of the sleeve. The White inner bag is also in clean and respectable condition, with no tearing or handwriting.
An Assessment of The Playing Quality
The playing quality matches that of the Visual grading and the album plays **MINT** – It is a SUPERBLY Smooth play through all of the tracks. There is no Audible wear, and NO clicks, NO jumps, NO pops and NO distortion – The record sits 100% flat on the turntable without any dishing or warping - the playing quality could not disappoint any collector!
