THE BEATLES - 'I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND'/'THIS BOY'
1968 UK '2nd' PRESSING* 45
This extremely difficult to find UK '2nd' pressing dates from 1968 and is the black & silver Parlophone label: R 5084
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text with 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.
A 'KT' purchase tax code is present on the 'I Want To Hold Your Hand' label centre.
Housed in its original green & white 'swirl' Parlophone company sleeve.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 17559-1N & 7XCE 17560-1N
Stamper codes: 18/MLA & 22/MAM

Labels: EXCELLENT +
A clean & unworn pair of these rare labels with just a few tiny spindle marks to each unworn centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Both playing surfaces are clean bright & glossy with just a few light surface marks in strong daylight on side 1 but no wear at all on the other. Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals some light wispy marks consistent with turntable play but no scratches or signs of mis-use.
Play: EXCELLENT +
Always a great sounding 45, this later pressing is no exception. There is no distortion or wear to the grooves on either side or any background noise - even on on the delicate 'This Boy'. Both sides are also free of any ticks, clicks or any other such audible distractions or wear.
Sleeve
GOOD
A little tired with a small tear to the rear window but easily replaced.
