THE BEATLES - 'IF I FELL'/'TELL ME WHY'
UK 1964 *EXPORT* PRESSING 45
This EXCELLENT UK pressed EXPORT 45 dates from December 1964 and is on the black & silver Parlophone label: DP 562
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK.. text on both labels but have 'Parlophone Co. Ltd...' rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the 'Tell Me Why' label.
Housed in its original green & white Parlophone company cover.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 17756-1N & 7XCE 17757-1N
Stamper codes: 2/T & 1/T
CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT
A clean & unblemished pair with a handful of light spindle trails around the 'Tell Me Why' cente hole but hardly any on 'If I Fell'.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Clean & deep-gloss surfaces which display no significant surface marks or wear in strong daylight. There are a few harmless light surface marks consistent with the few careful plays this copy has received visible directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp.
Play: EXCELLENT
The sound quality of both tracks is much improved on 45. This well looked-after copy has received very little play indeed and, as a consequence, the sound is completely unworn. Apart from a hint of light background on the introduction to 'If I Fell' there is very little to fault.
