Description
HERE IS A VERY NICE CAPITOL RECORDS PROMOTIONAL 45 RPM RECORD.
In this auction:
· “JEALOUS GUY” by John Lennon & The Plastic Ono Band
· This is Capitol Records P-B-44230.
· This is a PROMOTIONAL SINGLE with the same song on both A-side and B-side.
· As you may know, 45 RPM PROMO RECORDS were pressed in very limited quantities and released by record companies ONLY to the radio stations and DJs for airplay to promote the artist and new LP. They were not released or made available for sale to the general public.
· The WHITE PROMOTIONAL LABELS have “NOT FOR SALE” printed on them.
· This Promo Record was issued in September of 1988, and the Picture Sleeve was issued October 3, 1988.
· “Jealous Guy” was originally recorded and released as one of the cuts on John Lennon’s “Imagine” LP in 1971; however, this pressing/re-release of the song was to coincide and promote the “Imagine” Motion Picture Soundtrack.
· The VINYL is NEAR MINT.
· The WHITE PROMO LABELS are CLEAN and WHITE. Both Labels have Side “1” printed on them. There is NO Side “2” designated. Both sides are the same.
· This promo record comes with its ORIGINAL PICTURE SLEEVE. It has a GREAT self-portrait drawing of John Lennon on the front and reference to the motion picture “IMAGINE” on the front and reverse.
· The PICTURE SLEEVE is in NEAR MINT CONDITION with a very light sign of handling near the opening.
It’s a NICE UNCOMMON JOHN LENNON PROMO 45 RPM RECORD and PICTURE SLEEVE for YOUR vinyl collection!!!
