In this auction are 2 ORIGINAL John Lennon & Plastic Ono Band APPLE PICTURE SLEEVES & 45 RPM RECORDS from the 1970s in NICE CONDITION OVERALL. If you’re looking for some to complete a set or looking for some SOLO-Beatles sleeves to go with your Beatles picture sleeves, you’ve found them here.
Here are the details about the records in this auction:
Picture Sleeve & Record #1:
· “POWER TO THE PEOPLE” by John Lennon b/w “TOUCH ME” by Yoko Ono
· This is Apple Records 1830.
· This record was released March 22, 1971.
· The PICTURE SLEEVE is in NICE VG+ CONDITION. It has light overall wear with some disc impression but NOT ring wear. The sleeve is mostly flat. There is a very small ¼-inch seam split at the center of bottom seam and a tiny ¼-inch tear at the top opening. A NICE LOOKING SLEEVE, for sure!
· The VINYL is NEAR MINT.
Picture Sleeve & Record #2:
· “WOMAN IS THE N____ OF THE WORLD” by John Lennon b/w “SISTERS O SISTERS” by Yoko Ono
· This is Apple Records 1848.
· This record was released April 24, 1972.
· The PICTURE SLEEVE is in VERY NICE VG CONDITION. It has light overall wear and light disc impression. There is a 1-inch seam split on the bottom seam in the middle. Partial seam splits on the side have been very nicely repaired. There are 2 very tiny tears at the top opening with no paper loss. The sleeve is mostly flat.
· The VINYL is NEAR MINT. This Apple label is the “faces” (“morphing faces”).
A controversial song title John Lennon used, but with a well-intended message for/about women which has made this sleeve very desirable and hard-to-find these days.
