Summary:

‘LET IT BE’ was the The Beatles FINAL UK Studio Album released in 1970. First issues were released as a LAVISH VINYL/BOOK BOX Set. The few now found in COMPLETE and IMPRESSIVE condition throughout - like the one listed here - are now becoming INCREASINGLY COLLECTIBLE. Due to the fragile construction of the outer slip case and inner trays supporting the book, a vast majority of these Vinyl Box Sets became damaged and incomplete, and it is, therefore, a pleasure to offer collectors this VERY NICE, COMPLETE example.

The ORIGINAL 1970, FIRST ISSUE, Twelve Track UK EMI/Apple ‘LET IT BE’ STEREO Vinyl LP is on the Dark Green Apple Label, with ‘Apple Records’ label rim, and with ‘An EMI Recording’ and ‘Mfd in the UK’ label text printed to both sides of the record labels.

Both sides of the Record labels are in SUPERB near mint condition. A CLEAN, UNDAMAGED Set of record labels, with nothing more than a few faint centre spider trails.

Side 1 matrix: YEX 773-2U and Side 2 YEX 774-2U.
Side 1 stampers: 1/6/OG and Side 2: 1/HL.

Both sides of the WELL CARED FOR Vinyl disc are in STUNNING excellent plus condition, CLEAN, BRIGHT Vinyl Surfaces, with nothing more than a few light hairlines. There are NO scuffs or deep scratches.

Audio Quality:

The BARELY PLAYED album plays SUPERBLY through ALL 12 tracks, without any skips, clicks or distortion.

The album comes in a Plain White inner bag, which is in excellent condition. There are NO tears, NO seam splits and NO handwriting.

The LP is housed in its ORIGINAL, FIRST ISSUE, Fully Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Sleeve displaying the RED Apple Logo to the Reverse of the Sleeve, and printed ‘An EMI Recording’ beneath the Red Apple.

The fully laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Sleeve is in IMPRESSIVE excellent plus condition, MIRROR GLOSS laminate to the front and back of this NEAT, FIRM sleeve, UNDAMAGED edges just a couple of mild corner bruises, and light record indentation. The spine edge is PERFECT and clearly reads 'The Beatles' 'Let It Be', 'Apple Records', 'PCS 7096'.

…..An ORIGINAL, Large Format, 11" x 8.5", GET BACK book, Laminated to the Front and Reverse. This SUBSTANTIAL book is packed with 164 pages of some previously unpublished photographs of THE BEATLES taken by Ethan A Russell from the Get Back Sessions.

The Laminated ‘GET BACK’ Book is a STUNNING example in near mint condition. Surprisingly, there are NO loose, damaged or missing pages - the book is usually quite prone to the pages becoming dislodged due to the inappropriate glueing method used for the binding of the book. The Laminate to the front and reverse of the book is ULTRA GLOSSY, and the book binding TIGHT and UNDAMAGED. The spine edge reads 'The Beatles Get Back'.

The book is stored in its ORIGINAL Black PERFORATED Inner Tray, which is in RESPECTABLE condition. The bottom edge of the perforated tray has been neatly sellotaped on the underside to hold the section in place (see scan).

The outer Black Card tray is in VERY NICE excellent condition, NO tearing or stress to any of the seams, just some light wear to the edges.

….All the contents of the Box Set slide into an ORIGINAL First Issue FULLY LAMINATED Garrod & Lofthouse ‘Patents Pending’ LET IT BE Outer SLIP CASE.

The Original Outer Laminated SLIP CASE, which protects the complete Set has survived REMARKABLY WELL and is in IMPRESSIVE excellent plus condition. STRONG, FIRM, VERY GLOSSY FRONT and BACK PANELS, with NO tearing to any part, showing only very mild wear to the edges and corner, but no major damage.
