READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles LP 1964 Vee Jay Songs, Pictures and Stories MONO EXCELLENT Keeper!

Have you ever had the privilege of being in the same room as a NM copy of “Introducing the Beatles?”  Me neither, but man, is this one close!  (Also check out the “Introducing The Beatles” copy for sale.  Different label variation, same blinding condition LP!)

Vinyl--- EX/ EX.  This one’s about as pretty a copy as I’ve ever seen.  There are extremely light wisps on both sides that you can’t even see unless you hold the vinyl under a bright light source.  Stunning.

Plates--- As reported by both Perry Cox and Bruce Spizer, there are some legit copies without any of the trademark dead wax markings that we usually see.  This is one of those.  100% guaranteed legit copy, nonetheless.

Cover--- EX.  Certainly the best cover I’ve ever seen.  Almost 100% full gloss.  Back cover has some very light ringwear at the top and bottom.  All seams strong and muscular, NO SPLITS.  Not even almost.  Gatefold is also strong, full-colored and bold.  Center seam has NO SPLITS.

Labels--- EX/ NM.  Side 1 label has a few light spindle marks.  Side 2 label looks brand new.

Vee Jay Inner Sleeve--- VG+.  Presents extremely well.  Bold colors.  Small tears at the top of the sleeve.  A little yellowed.  Glue strip stains down one side of the sleeve.  NO SPLITS.  (These sleeves are essentially newspaper, so please keep the album separate from the sleeve!  You just don’t find Vee Jay sleeves from the early 60’s that haven’t split.)

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
