READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles LP 1967 Sgt. Pepper First Pressing A1 Plates, Both Sides, VG & EX Vinyl!

Not quite sure where this one falls in the sequence of first pressings.  Looks like a transition to me, because the Side 1 label correctly lists “With a Little Help from my Friends.”  Inner sleeve is not gradient red.  I think this is from the very end of the first A1 plates run.

Vinyl--- VG/EX.  Side 1 has some light lines and a light scuff that you can’t feel with your fingertip.  Side 2 looks nearly unplayed, and you wouldn’t be wrong to call it NM.

Plates--- A1/A1.  Machine-stamped triangle with the letters, “IAM” inside it makes this copy pressed by Scranton.

Cover--- VG.  Plenty of general wear.  Name written and faded on front cover in the yellow STEREO banner.  Top pocket seam is split about 4 inches.  Back cover has light ringwear.  Spine has rub wear.

Gatefold--- VG+.  Structurally strong, NO SPLITS in the center seam.  Some light foxing and browning.  We’ll call that brown foxing.

Insert--- VG+.  Pretty nice insert with absolutely NO finger divots, however; there is significant browning to the back, and staple holes on the front upper left.

Labels--- EX/EX.  Both labels present well with only extremely light wear.  They look very nearly new.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- VG.  Generic white inner sleeve with no die-cut hole for the labels to show.  One side seam and the bottom seam have splits about three inches.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: N/A.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
