The Beatles – A Hard Day’s Night – Genuine 1964 UK 1st pressing– The very earliest 1st issue with chunky typeface labels and yellow & Black Parlophone rim labels, ‘Recording First Published…’ and with ‘Sold in UK’ Catalogue number PMC 1230
This pressing dates to on or before the 10th July 1964.
A seminal album and one of their best - ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ was the first album where artist and composer wrote and performed all their songs.

Visual: EXCELLENT+
Superb looking vinyl with very little to fault other than a superficial 2 cm mark on side 1 on the innermost track and a light surface mark on side two (track one). The marks are not immediately apparent and disappear in certain light, they are not feeleable and do not effect play. Under strong halogen light whispy sleeve removal marks become visible. This record has been well cared and grades at excellent+. It is now extremely tough to find early mono copies in this condition. The disc lies 100% flat on the turntable.
Labels: EXCELLENT+
A great set of the very earliest chunky type face labels, positively establishing the record as a true UK 1st pressing. The labels have some very light spindle trails but it is clear that this record has not received many plays in its 54 year history. Virtually no wear around the centre hole. Side two has been played maybe 5 or 6 times. The KT tax code is visible on side 2.
Audio: MINT-
An outstanding audiophile copy with absolutely no loss of audio quality whatsoever. All gaps are quiet with the exception of only one or two. Tracks such as ‘If I Fell’, ‘And I Love Her’ and ‘Things We Said’ have a sonic presence only achievable with analogue vinyl. The audio will not disappoint. Needless to say the record does not jump or stick. There are no loud pops or ticks and the record does not jump or stick.
Cover
EXCELLENT-
An original 1964 Garrod & Lofthouse patents pending cover. The front panel has some thumbnail creasing and a mark to the laminate on the bottom edge which goes into the image of Ringo. The rear panel has some ageing and areas of discolouration with general handling marks. All flipbacks are intact. There is no writing or personalisation to any part of the cover. The spine is uncrushed with the text clearly visible. A presentable cover and in above average condition for its age – grades at or around excellent minus.

Original 1964 clear inner with no seam splits.
