READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

So with that said…

Beatles LP Abbey Road Last Run, First Pressing in Shrinkwrap, Gorgeous NM!

Since this album was released in October, 1969, it’s probable that this copy is from 1970 sometime.

**Has “Her Majesty” on both the back cover and on the Side 2 label.

**“Mfd. By Apple Records, Inc.” is at the bottom of the Side 2 label before the 1971 pressing moved it to the Side 1 label.

**Inside cover is white, rather than cardboard.

Still smells new inside!

Vinyl--- NM/EX.  The only flaws are one very light, non-feelable, barely visible mark at the beginning of Side 2 that was divided in half.  Too light to photograph, but light enough to see if you look for it.  Another stray angel hair or two.  The rest is a sea of glass.

Otherwise, this copy looks gleamingly unplayed.

Plates--- B19/B13.  Hand-etched letter “O” in the dead wax on both sides makes this copy pressed in Jacksonville.

**This copy has transitional plates.  The catalogue number on Side 1 has the “SO” prefix.  On Side 2, the prefix is “SW,” to coincide with the new price code.

Cover--- NM/NM.  Still in shrink.  Cover has the sewer, which is not rare, by the way.  I have over 20 of these in my collection.

Breathe Holes--- There are two breathe holes on the front cover, both are down the spine.  See photo of front cover.

There are two more breathe holes on the back cover.  See photo.

Labels--- NM/NM.  Side 2 label has a manufacturer’s defect, where the label shriveled upon application.  See photo.  NO SPINDLE MARKS.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- VG+.  Generic white inner sleeve with die-cut hole for the labels to showis present.  A little yellowed from the 50 years.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Apple inner sleeve en route.

You need a keeper of the very last pressing from the first run?  This is it.  No need to ever upgrade!

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
