Here is a true historic collectible and every set of ears deserves to hear the MAGIC of the first spark of the world's greatest song writing team since Shakespeare and his Muse. This magical record seems to just grow in value and importance and in RARITY as many newly-found copies turn up ruined hurting the over-all odds of easily finding this gem in playable condition. This was one of the Beatles releases that was voluntarily destroyed via burning rituals prompted by John Lennon's unpolitically correct assertion that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus. This copy sounds rich and fresh even today, transporting a listener to a time of fun, joy, excitement, and of course Love - good ole' human heart to heart LOVE...and of course the flip side (pardon the pun) - Unrequited Love. Pehaps no other Lp is as important for todays music as this release. Listed with multiple pics complete with ZOOM to offer a forthright representation of actual RARE Beatles release - thus as seen as is, which is pretty darn awesome. You see George's shadow to the right and the brackets around the VJ logo on the back. If any seam splitting it would be very minimal and limited to a fraction of an inch at the lower open corner.The cover is better than most I've seen with the usual wear and a small ink number in upper left corner.The back side is very clear with little wear and a stamped "C" upper right with a personal name lower bottom right as was common with Beatles LP's and one learned real quick just how many would resort to stealing your Lp if it wasn't already "spoken for." Don't know if the blank inner sleeve is original but all the other Beatles Lp's from this particular collector had the orig. inners - this one has hand-writing on it duping the title of the LP, I guess to make sure her Lp's had the right inner sleeve. The personal efforts like these reveal the effects BEATLEMANIA had on their original owners who were possessive of their records. One day record collectors will realize this fact as another facet of the uniqueness of Beatles collectibles, the way they were personalized, as a sign of what the Beatles expressed - LOVE. I am amazed at how well the thick vinyl shines and how bright the labels are (a bit of faded writing appears on the rainbow color band on side 1), considering the age. There are some marks but my Technics phongraph all but ignores them without adjusting the needle weight.. "AudioMatrix stamps appear on both sides in the trail-off. The date "6-29-63" is etched in the dry wax matrix area on both sides. I am so impressed with the charm and clarity - it puts me right there in the 1960's - of this record that I have decided to keep it if it doesn't sell - I'm not relisting.
