This particular copy is a genuine / authentic contract pressing from the UK Decca pressing plant. While the EMI factory pressed Parlophone labeled ‘Let It Be’ Export LP's for a very limited amount of time back in 1970-71, a contract pressing of this LP from that same period is almost unheard of and is an exceptionally rare disc.
These contract pressings came about when the EMI factory production schedule was full and could not keep up with demand for a particular record resulting in contracts with another record manufacturer such as Decca, Phillips or Pye to produce product for them to meet that demand.
Beatles contract pressings are very rare to begin with and as a result, are significantly more valuable than in-house pressings.
Further evidence here of this being from the Decca plant is the prominent recessed groove (which is a typical characteristic of Decca LP pressings) that is approximately 31mm out from the centre hole and 15mm in from the edge of the label. Rings this size never appeared on EMI pressed LP disc labels and the lack of ‘stamper letter’ digits in the dead wax is also indicative of Decca produced LP's from this period.

Accompanied by a full laminated sleeve ‘ Printed and made in Great Britain by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd and though there were Parlophone logo jackets (P-PCS 7096) pressed this issue has the standard Apple logo and catalogue number PCS-7096 on the spine.

Vinyl - play-tested completely both sides : Scuff marks prevalent both sides belie the nice audio from beginning to end with occasionally some light static (very minimal) and the odd light pop noticeable and even then between tracks only. NO skips, NO jumps, NO sticking. The heavyweight disc here at 144 grams ensures no loud distortion during playback.
Labels : Clean.
Sleeve : the fully laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. manufactured jacket is in very good condition. No writing. No marks. No splits. Some minor laminate wrinkles and creases as per the photos above and (through age-wear) is not as vibrant as it once was.
