Description
BEATLES "MEET THE BEATLES THE FIRST ALBUM by ENGLAND'S PHENOMENAL POP CAPTIAL RAINBOW LABEL~Mono # T-2047. One of the rarer variations of this album. (SECOND VARIATION)
Black Rainbow Variation without SUBSIDIARY print. This label variation credits ASCAP for every song except "I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND", which is credited to BMI and was used for the initial WEST COAST pressings (MR2B). It was also used for a significant part of the initial EAST COAST PRODUCTION run (MR2A). But this label was most likely sent to the EAST COAST PRINTER shortly after January 8, 1964. These records were initially packaged with FIRST VARIATION COVERS and did not include GEORGE MARTIN production credit. It is important to note that CAPITOL pulled copies of this production run for PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES in Early 1964. The Jacket has the familiar first run BROWN coloring for the "BEATLES" on the front cover and (NO "RIAA" Award) on cover indicating an initial run and has a listed value of $375. Album is in played condition, please see pictures. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask as I will try my best to answer. This album along with several others belonged to my grandmother which I rec'd while cleaning out her house after she passed. It has not been graded nor would I even know where to start to have that done. The only factual information I have is posted above per support of the album cover & lp. Thank for looking & happy bidding!price rating
