READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning. I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles LP Revolver First Digital Remaster CLJ Cat Number Black Capitol British Version, NM!
This is the first of a long line of many digital transfers onto vinyl, which features the British lineup of the tracks.
These Black Capitol copies seem to have disappeared off the face of the planet. Not common to begin with, these are generally found on the purple Capitol label, and with improperly mastered plates.
The difference is that these first digital transfers were absolutely remastered by Capitol for the freshest sound quality, as opposed to the more common outsourced mastering done by Specialty Records.
Audiophiles can see the visual cues of an inferior mastering job by the unusually wide trail-off areas, meaning that the grooves were compressed. They don’t offer much depth, and they often have crisp high-end playback.
The high-quality mastering has evenly-spaced grooves pressed for smoother playback and deeper fidelity. The trail-off areas on this copy are consistent with Capitol-issued LP’s, with smaller trail-offs.
Vinyl--- NM/NM. Looks unplayed on both sides, shiny glow to the vinyl!
Plates--- F1/ F2. I’m guessing this is a Winchester pressing. The hand-etched rifle has been replaced by a deep and proper hand-etched triangle. “Wally” on both sides, as well as machine-stamped “Mastered by Capitol.”
This is NOT a Specialty Pressing. No “SRC” logo on either side.
Cover--- NM all around. Still in shrink.
Breathe Holes--- This shrinkwrap features a new configuration of breathe holes. There are four breathe holes, regular Capitol-sized. They are vertical, two of them to the left of the red hype sticker, and two between Ringo and George.
Hype Sticker--- NM beautiful.
Labels--- NM/NM. Factory-new labels.
Capitol Inner Sleeve--- NM rice paper sleeve.
RIAA: N/A from the CLJ catalogue numbers onward.
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
